President & CEO
Steve’s vision is to bring ultrasound to the forefront of the patient journey and revolutionize healthcare with early and accurate diagnosis through AI-based imaging. He is passionate about using technology to transform the patient experience and increase access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. Prior to leading Legend Health, Steve was CCO at InTouch Health (acquired by Teladoc), where he oversaw domestic and global sales, as well as product, marketing, customer service, and clinical services. Steve is actively engaged in the business startup community, is an angel investor, and is on the Board of Stowe Mission.
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
Kilian co-founded Legend Health to create products that positively impact the lives of billions of people. As a research scientist and entrepreneur, he focuses on using deep learning to solve critical problems in healthcare. Prior to Legend Health, Kilian developed computational models of visual processing in both biological and artificial neural networks at UC Berkeley and was a founding member of IQ Engines.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Martin is an accomplished world renowned academic cardiologist who was a pioneer in noninvasive cardiology, and the role of ultrasound in cardiovascular diagnostics. He held faculty and clinical positions at many prestigious universities—including Stanford, University of Virginia, Mayo Clinic and Emory University Medical School where he was both Associate Dean and Director of Noninvasive Cardiology. Dr. Martin is a past president of the American Society of Echocardiography and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, and the European Society of Cardiology. He is also a prolific academician, with more than 200 publications. Dr. Martin also served as chief Medical Correspondent for Cox Communications and has received multiple Emmy nominations and awards including the recipient of the American Heart Association’s Howard L. Lewis Lifetime Achievement Award for Health Reporting.
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Ainslie brings a unique perspective to the world of finance and operations. A transplanted Kiwi, she has worked in multiple startups driving the transitionary phases from Series A through Series C, across multiple disciplines, while solving the critical issues and blockers to commercialize and bring products to market. Her background in a broad range of verticals—including digital health, mobile health, SAAS, and AI—enables creative thinking through various business models to optimize go-to-market strategy. She was most recently CFO of Ginger, a behavioral health company.
Chief Growth Officer
Suneil is the consummate growth strategist with the mind of an operator. He is skilled at driving successful implementation and has overseen commercialization of highly engineered software platforms for numerous multi-national organizations in the healthcare and hospitality verticals, reaching hundreds of thousands of end users. Most recently, as a senior member of the Teladoc Health Hospital and Health System team as well as the Teladoc International Senior Leadership team, he was responsible for Teladoc’s hospital and health system partnerships and alliances across Canada and advised on strategic consults into emerging international markets.
Karin Ajmani is a seasoned healthcare executive and entrepreneur who has committed her career to building companies that expand access to healthcare services and provide greater support for patients. Karin served as President and Chief Strategy Officer of Progyny, a national infertility health benefits company, from its inception in 2015 through 2020, including the company’s IPO in 2019. Prior to joining Progyny, Karin was the CEO of US Imaging, a radiology benefits management company serving self-insured employers and health plans from 2007 through 2015. Karin previously served as CEO of CarePlus Health Plan, a Medicaid managed care plan in New York, where she led the organization from inception in 1996 through its sale to Amerigroup, an Anthem company, in 2005. Karin is a board member of SWORD Heath, a digital MSK company, and has previously served on the boards of Autism Learning Partners and Citra Health. Karin has received numerous awards including being named to Crain’s NY Business “40 Under 40” list and NY Business Journal’s Women of Influence, and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Mr. DeVivo brings extensive leadership experience from across the medical device industry. He was CEO of InTouch Health until its acquisition by Teladoc Health in 2020. Prior to InTouch, he served as President, CEO, and Director at AngioDynamics, which develops innovative, minimally invasive medical devices used by healthcare providers for vascular access, surgery, peripheral vascular disease, and oncology. Other leadership roles include global President of Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics, CEO of RITA Medical, and Vice President and General Manager at U.S. Surgical, a division of Tyco Healthcare. Active in industry leadership as well as philanthropy, Mr. DeVivo is also a member of the board of Mauna Kea Technologies, Nuvo Group, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He serves as Chairman for the Center of Digital Health for AdvaMed, and as incoming Treasurer of the American Telemedicine Association.
Bruce is an Operating Partner at Khosla Ventures, where he focuses on enterprise technology markets, including big data, containers, devops, security, IoT, networking, storage, and on AI-enabled breakthrough products in specific industries like Healthcare and Manufacturing. Prior to joining KV, Bruce was the president and CEO of PivotLink, a leading provider of SaaS business intelligent applications, which was acquired in 2014 by SmartFocus, a Francisco Partners-backed marketing automation company. Prior to PivotLink, he served as chairman and CEO of Kickfire, a pioneer in next-generation data warehouse appliances focused on the open source MySQL database market, which was acquired in 2010 by industry leader, Teradata. Bruce also was the president and CEO of KNOVA Software, a publicly traded company that was the leading provider of search and analytic applications for unstructured data and later merged with Onyx Software to create Consona Software. He is a volunteer at Five Keys Schools, providing individuals in traditionally underserved communities the opportunity to restart their education.
Alan brings entrepreneurial and operational expertise to DCVC portfolio companies, particularly in product development, go-to-market, and growth. He is an executive with hands-on experience running large enterprises as well as startup companies. His past three ventures created over $3B in aggregate value. Alan serves on the Board of Directors of numerous DCVC portfolio companies in physical and cybersecurity, payments, AI, and enterprise sectors and has been an advisor and investor in multiple billion-dollar companies. Prior to DCVC, Alan was the Chief Commercial Officer and served on the Board of Directors at Illumio, one of DCVC’s portfolio companies. Before Illumio, Alan was VP of Marketing at Nicira, which was acquired by VMWare for $1.3 billion. Prior to Nicira, Alan served as VP and head of marketing for Cisco’s $25 billion enterprise business, managing over 400 people and 25 product lines. Alan came to Cisco via the $460M acquisition of Airespace, where he was an early employee and served as VP of Marketing and Product Management.
